Systems for Small Business
Businesses tend to add on
technologies as needs arise, which works up to a point. When you
get to that point, however, problems start cropping up:
-
Our network is really bogged
down
-
I can't find all my files,
printers, and/or Internet connections
-
We've lost files and don't
have a reliable backup solution
Just like
building a house, though, a little architectural forethought
will yield a much better result. We have illustrated below two
basic categories of technical architecture so you can see some
of the differences between a typical small business setup –
under 10 PCs – versus a larger operation with diverse systems
and needs.

We don’t
recommend that you take either of these as ideal for your
business – every business situation is unique. But this is
enough to illustrate a key point – the architecture on the right
spends $200 a desktop for PCs and the one on the left spends
$1000. For mid-size businesses that want to save money, these
differences can add up.
We understand
technology is not a “one size fits all” solution. Each business
has different priorities and needs depending on their industry
and existing infrastructure. We can explain your options in
plain English and help you understand how technology can improve
your business. Our
system architecture plan will
analyze your business needs and determine the architecture
that’s right for you as your business grows.
